Robotic Welding with Laser Seam Tracking on Corrugated Sheet
Laser seam tracking lets the robot follow the real, distorted seam of corrugated transformer tank sheets in real time — holding weld quality without manual touch-up.

The build
Corrugated sheet welding is one of the hardest arc applications: the seam moves as the sheet is formed and heat input distorts it further while welding.
Dadu Industries integrated a laser seam tracking sensor ahead of the torch so the robot measures the joint in real time and corrects its path continuously. The result is a consistent, repeatable fillet along the full length of the corrugation, with no operator intervention and no rework.
