Robotic Welding Cells

Robotic Welding with Laser Seam Tracking

Laser seam tracking for long corrugated sheet welds where part variation defeats fixed programs.

Robot welding with laser seam tracking on corrugated sheet

Overview

What this system does

Robotic welding with a laser seam tracking sensor mounted ahead of the torch. The sensor measures the joint in real time and corrects the robot path, which makes long corrugated sheet welds repeatable even with sheet variation and thermal distortion.

  • Handles sheet-to-sheet variation without reprogramming
  • Compensates thermal distortion during long welds
  • Automatic joint finding at weld start
  • Data logged per weld for traceability
